Pedagogies for Climate and Gender Justice

This community-engaged, SSHRC-funded research project investigates the pedagogical practices and theories of change of women water protectors in Latin American contexts. I work in collaboration with an ecofeminist grassroots organization called Sur Territoria, who advocate for the defence of human and nature rights.

Cartographies of interruption and influence: Feminist educational and institutional strategies

I am a co-investigator, together with Dr. Darlene Clover, on this SSHRC-funded Connection Grant that brings together scholars, museum educators, and curators to share and develop strategies for addressing gender-based violence through the arts in local, regional, and international contexts.

Childhood and Reading Difficult Knowledge

I am also a collaborator and researcher in Bueno el Cilantro, Pero No Tanto, a collective of literacy mediators in elementary education. The project explores pedagogical approaches that help children engage with complex topics – such as environmental disparities, racism, and homophobia – through the literary work of local writers and poets.
